MORE INFO ABOUT SHEA BUTTER:
Shea butter has always been our favorite care product because it combines so many fantastic properties for skin and hair care.
Shea butter is not comedogenic and therefore also suitable for skin that is prone to blemishes and acne.
And if you are still not a fan of shea butter by now:
We also enrich our shea butter “Moami” with vitamin E. Vitamin E can improve the moisture supply to your skin and thus your skin's overall appearance. Vitamin E is also a great addition to hair care: in addition to shea butter, it brings shine and moisture to the hair and has a slight anti-frizz effect.
We obtain our organic shea butter from women in Burkina Faso from a fair for life project: www.sotokacc.com. The production of shea butter has a long tradition here and women swear by the product for daily beauty care.
The shea butter tree grows in the steppe landscapes of West Africa. After the 2-month rainy season, the nuts (which from a botanical point of view are actually berries) are harvested and processed immediately. In our case it is cold-pressed shea butter. Cold pressing is the gentlest manufacturing process. The yield of this particularly good quality is relatively low. A high initial quality of the shea nuts is important for cold pressing, as the smells are particularly strongly transferred into the fat here.
We deodorize the shea butter because this natural smell is not pleasant for everyone. This does not harm the good ingredients - they are all retained.
The shea butter virtually melts into the skin when it is applied. For a wonderfully well-groomed feeling!
We produce small batches so that you always get a fresh product.
